Description

Spanish Posters – Classroom Commands

There are 32 common classroom commands in Spanish.
The classroom instructions / commands included are:
(Verbos Imperativos 2a persona singular TÚ)
Abre, busca, cierra, colorea, complete, comienza, copia, dibuja, escribe, entrega, escoge, escucha, guarda, habla, lee, levanten la mano, levántate, marca, mira, muestra, para, pega, pon, practica, pregunta, presten atención, recorta, repite, responde, saca, siéntate, termina.
We also have them in the following conjugation:
(Verbos Imperativos 2a persona plural USTEDES)
Abran, Busquen, Cierren … etc.

We have FOUR versions of each poster:

  • Posters Version 1: TÚ commands (ideal for one-on-one)
  • Posters Version 2: USTEDES commands (ideal when referring to the entire class)
  • Posters Version 3: TÚ commands with English translation
  • Posters Version 4: USTEDES commands with English translation

Each poster has the classroom command written in Spanish at the top with a cartoon showing that action below it.

These posters are ideal as a part of your Back to School decoration. You can start the school year with the Spanish/English version of the commands posters and then as students become more comfortable with them, use the version that is only in Spanish.
If you like, can also make these posters into a flipbook too.

We have also included printable vocabulary lists with all of the commands on one page.

There are also four versions of these.

  • Handout 1: List of TÚ commands
  • Handout 2: List of USTEDES commands
  • Handout 3: List of TÚ commands with their English translation
  • Handout 4: List of USTEDES commands with their English translation

Bonus
We have also included a worksheet with the same commands as above, but instead of giving students the English translations, there is a space for them to write them.

  • Worksheet 1: TÚ commands with a space for students to write the English translation
  • Worksheet 2: USTEDES commands with a space for students to write the English translation

One idea is for the teacher to demonstrate/show each instruction while repeating the command and have students write what they think this instruction is in English.

Students will learn basic classroom commands in Spanish. The posters are titled as Instrucciones Básicas (Basic Instructions) instead of using the Spanish words Mandatos de la clase.
